Pretty Sweet for those -10 f. mornings that result in CEL’s from my lazy 02 sensor. I got mine for $18 including tax and shipping.

Another good option is the Torque app on Android with a Bluetooth reader from Amazon.

The app is a less than $5 and the scanners go for $15-20ish.

You get code reading along with a ton of real time info.

This. I keep my elm32 dongle in the obdII port at all times. It was a godsend for my e38, and even used it to check and clear a cel on the FX45 before I bought it. Incredibly handy.

I have too many ways to check codes on my car:

OBD Bluetooth dongle + Torque Pro.

K+DCAN cable + MHD tuner app that also can read all the BMW specific codes and reset adaptations for different ECU things.

Fancier handheld scanner that can do an OBD emissions readiness check, even though I don’t live in one of the 7 counties in my states where emissions are tested.
